A name for UB313

Mike Brown has submitted a name for the so-called 10th planet, 2003 UB313, to the International Astronomical union. New Scientist Space has had a competition to name the planet. There are the usual suspects, Persephone (sadly already taken), Xena and so on. Unusually, Maradona is a popular entry (as being a good number 10), but my favorites are Rupert (the name of the 10th planet in "Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy") and Loki (the trickster God, given the triky nature of deciding what a planet is)

Comments:
Has to be a deity of creation per IAU rules, nicht wahr? And a plutino like 2003 EL61, an underworld deity?

Otherwise I personally think "Goofy" would be the ideal name, especially given its eccentricity and its association with Pluto.

Naturalisch, aber Xena ist uberhaupt eine Afengile Gottin (you have to say this in a Berliner accent for it to work). Don't let Xena hear you say she's not a diety, things could get a little sticky. Loki isn't strictly an underworld diety, but that's Loki, one big grey area, perfect for UB313.

Goofy is good though.
